Project Parivartan

Project Parivartan was an initiative focused on empowering women from marginalised communities in Delhi by creating pathways for financial independence and self-reliance. The project supported women in developing vocational skills and organising into self-help groups, enabling them to step into the role of social entrepreneurs.

At the heart of the initiative was Parivartan Food Services which was designed as a community-led catering platform through which women could generate income while building confidence, leadership, and a sense of agency. Participants received professional training in food preparation and service, allowing them to deliver quality cuisine for a range of gatherings at accessible price points.

Beyond livelihoods, Project Parivartan aimed to address both financial and self-actualisation needs, creating opportunities for women to grow, lead, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Rooted in YfPI’s vision of equal opportunity for all, the project fostered dignity, skill-building, and long-term empowerment. Though concluded prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Project Parivartan remains a significant milestone in YfPI’s journey, demonstrating the power of community-led enterprise in driving sustainable change.
