Youth Agenda 2024

We, the Youth of India

A movement of youth leaders, workers, organizations, and institutions demanding our voices shape education, employment, peace, and justice.

The Youth Agenda 2024 is a youth-led initiative calling for meaningful participation in India’s decision-making, born from consultations with over 2,500 youth leaders across states like Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland, and Jammu & Kashmir etc. Coordinated by Samvada and Youth for Peace International, it outlines recommendations on education, livelihoods, health, leadership, ecology, arts, and peace & security.

Agenda Overview

The Youth Agenda 2024 emerged from 10 regional consultations, 67 micro-consultations, and input from 43,000 youth (aged 15-29), prioritizing marginalized voices including SC/ST, LGBTQIA+, disabled, and rural youth. Key themes address systemic barriers like low political representation (only 12% MPs under 40 in 2019 Lok Sabha), youth unemployment (42.1% labor force participation), and mental health gaps. It urges political parties and leaders to adopt these youth-centric policies for an inclusive India.
